Needles View Pitch & Putt

For fun and gentle activity, wander down to the NEEDLES VIEW PITCH AND PUTT, set on the slopes of Headon Warren, between the national Coastal Path and Alum Bay Chine. Here you can have a crack at the challenging nine-hole course, covering two acres, while enjoying stunning views of the Needles and superb coastal views across the Solent.

The Kiosk which supplies the clubs and balls also sells hot and cold drinks, ices and souvenirs. Free parking is available for customers whilst on site.

Road Directions

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, town centre, Pyle Street, B3323 to Carisbrooke, B3401, B3399 to Freshwater, turn right onto A3055, turn left onto The Broadway
(B3322), follow this road onto Alum Bay New Road to Alum Bay.
From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Newport, town centre, Pyle Street, B3323 to Carisbrooke, B3401, B3399 to Freshwater, turn right onto A3055, turn left onto The Broadway (B3322), follow this road onto Alum Bay New Road to Alum Bay.
From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 towards Totland, follow A3054 onto The Broadway (B3322) and follow this road onto Alum Bay New Road to Alum Bay. 200 yards before Needles Park there is a brown pitch & putt tourist sign pointing to a lane on the right. Follow this until you reach our small, paved parking area.

From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed ferry: No. 1 bus route to Newport and change to 7 Alum Bay
From Ryde Catamaran/Hovertravel: No. 9 to Newport and change to No. 7 to Alum Bay
From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 to Alum Bay.
For further information please visit the Southern Vectis travel office at Ryde, bottom of pier or the Tourist Information Centre at West Cowes, opposite ferry terminal entrance and at Yarmouth, left of terminal.
