Wight Orienteers

Wight Orienteers has installed permanent orienteering courses in Parkhurst and Brighstone Forests and Firestone Copse. A fun way for families and friends to explore the forests. The courses at Parkhurst and Firestone are suitable for the less experienced whilst Brighstone is more challenging, due to the hilly terrain. There are free Forestry Commission car parks at all three venues. Map packs are available from Isle of Wight Tourism – price £1.50.

Groups of 10 or more must obtain a permit from Forest Enterprises six weeks prior to the visit.

Club orienteering activities are held monthly on a Sunday at various locations on the Island. Visitors are very welcome. Take part on your own or with family and friends. Cost £4.50 per family unit i.e. per map.

Special courses for youngsters and toddlers at a nominal charge.
