Home > Places to Visit on the Isle of Wight > Vectis Gliding Club
Gliding may be an activity that you have always wanted to try but have never had the opportunity to do so. Well, why not come and experience the thrill of silent flight by visiting the Vectis Gliding Club on the Isle of Wight.
The sensation of flight differs from that of any other activity and the view from 2000 feet above the ground provides an interesting and quite different view of the Islands natural beauty.
The Vectis Gliding Club offers you the opportunity of a trial flight and a flying lesson with one of our qualified instructors. You will fly in one of our two-seater gliders and under the guidance of the instructor; you will, if you wish, be able to fly and control the glider yourself.
So whether you live on the Isle of Wight or are planning a holiday or short break on the Island why not allocate some time and come and visit us at Bembridge Airport where you will receive a warm welcome and be able to experience the thrill of flying glider.
The link to our website www.vectisglidingclub.co.uk will provide you with more information and how to contact us.
