THE ISLE OF WIGHT STEAM RAILWAY Smallbrook Junction - Ashey - Havenstreet - Wootton, travel as Great Grandad did!

Beautifully restored Victorian & Edwardian carriages and locomotives accurately re-create the bygone age of steam train travel on the Isle of Wight, when the local community relied on its railway for the conveyance of goods, livestock and people. Great care has been taken to retain the unique atmosphere of the Island's once extensive railway network, and visitors are truly fascinated by the quaint vintage trains that operate this multi - award winning 5 mile rural railway.

Trains run on selected days from March to October (daily from late June to mid September inclusive) and tickets give unlimited travel for the whole day. Why not travel like Royalty and go first class?

Drive to Havenstreet station, near Ryde, where facilities include free parking, cafeteria, shop, museum, woodland walk, children's play area. Alternatively, travel by train from Shanklin, Lake, Sandown, Brading or Ryde and change at Smallbrook Junction for the Steam Railway.
