Come to the Underwater Archaeology Centre at Fort Victoria and get closer to fascinating underwater finds from around the Solent. Stimulate your senses through artefact displays, videos, interactive games and much much more. Hear about the unfortunate ships that have been claimed by the treacherous seas around the island. Learn about how maritime archaeologists do their job. Find out about a recently discovered lost land beneath the Solent. Uncover the intriguing history of Fort Victoria and the soldiers who served there.

School group admission: £1.75 per student and all teachers go free (must be pre-booked).

Admission prices: Adults £2.50, Children £1.50, Family £6.00, Concessions £2.00 and 25% discount on groups over 10 people (please contact us for further details)

Open: March – October (daily – including all national holidays)
10:00 – 17:00, last admission 30 minutes before closing.

Road Directions

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3054 to Yarmouth.

From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Newport, A3054 to Yarmouth.

From Yarmouth ferry take the second roundabout exit A3054 and turn right at Westhill Lane follow the brown signs to Fort Victoria.

Public Transport Directions

From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed ferry: No. 1 bus route to Newport and change to No. 7 to Yarmouth.

From Ryde Catamaran/Hovertravel: No. 9 bus route to Newport and change to No. 7 to Yarmouth.

From Yarmouth ferry take a short walk west along the beach until you reach Fort Victoria.
