YOUNG SOCCER STARS TO DESCEND ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT

Several teams of beach soccer players will take part in the Nacro Beach Soccer World Cup on Appley Beach in Ryde on 11 August.

The event, which takes place between 1100 - 1600, is organised by the Isle of Wight Beach Soccer Association and is supported by the Isle of Wight Council and Nacro as well as Hampshire Constabulary.

Teams will be split into two age groups of 13 - 15 and 16 - 18 and play a series of games against each other in the typical World Cup style format. Awards will be handed out and members of the England Beach Soccer team will also be present on the day.
