THE ISLE OF WIGHT HITS ALL THE RIGHT NOTES

The Isle of Wight is going to be a scorcher this summer with a range of outdoor music events for every taste. The Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival have both sold but don't worry there is plenty more on offer....

Event: Midsummer Opera
When: Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 June
Where: Priory Bay Hotel, St Helens, nr Ryde, PO34 5BU
Details: The Opera Box returns to the Priory Bay for its third year. Both opera's this year promise a magical summer evening, with style, romance, fabulous food and wine. Tuesday 17th June Madame Butterfly by Puccini and Wednesday 18th June features L'Elisir d'Amore by Donizetti Barefoot or Black tie.
Cost: Tickets range from £150 to £250 per person including dinner.

Event: Osborne House Last Night of the BSO Proms Wightlink Classical Fireworks Extravaganza
When: 19th July 2008

Event: Paul Weller

Details: Pop princesses Girls Aloud will be rocking Osborne house, one of the most successful girl groups of the decade with a record-breaking number of consecutive top-ten singles, including Biology, Jump, Love Machine and their most recent single, Can't Speak French is sure to get everyone singing along.
