The programme focuses on the attractions and events she encountered as she walked the route along the River Medina, including the madcap antics of a group of bike riders who attempted to cross the river with aquabikes - without falling in! Now you can see the hilarious 'Sink or Swim' event, held as part of the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival, by tuning into ITV1 on Thursday 3 January at 19.30.
*The Isle of Wight Cycling Festival is one of Britain's largest and best loved cycling festivals. There are more than 20 cycle routes including picnic rides, family routes, off road trails, children's activity rides and even a 'singles' cycle ride! Those at the peak of physical fitness may prefer something a little more challenging such as the 65-mile road race around the Island's coastline, or the 'Hills Killer', an orienteering ride set against the clock. The 2008 event takes place 13-21 September and full details are available on the website (www.sunseaandcycling.com).
The Isle of Wight Cycling Festival is organised by the Isle of Wight Council and is sponsored by ferry companies Wightlink and Red Funnel amongst others.
