The Isle of Wight's extreme sports festival, White Air, is to be featured on the new BBC1 programme, the 'One Show', on Wednesday 3 October at 7pm. (www.bbc.co.uk/theoneshow/index.shtml).
The feature focuses on former England cricketing star, Phil Tufnell, as he attempts some of the 'have a go' sports on offer during White Air, getting very wet in the process and trying out some of the event's more extreme sports!
White Air is an exhilarating event for the whole family and the 'have a go' taster sessions in Surfing, Parkour, Mountain Boarding, Kitesurfing and much, much more are available to all visitors.
Around 100 international athletes from 30 to 40 different countries compete in a range of championships, which this August included the World Windsurfing Grand Prix Formula Racing Championships.
So tune into BBC1 this Wednesday for a slice of the action and if like Phil, you fancy taking part, don't miss the 12th White Air Extreme Sports Festival from 25 to 31 August 2008. Visit www.whiteair.co.uk for the latest news.
