Set in secluded grounds of 2 acres - thus avoiding night time noise from the High Street and Esplanade - the hotel is just 2 minutes stroll (170 yards) from the beach and the same to the start of the shops.All 41 bedrooms, half of which are on the ground floor, are en-suite and all equipped with colour TV, hairdryer, hospitality tray, digital safe and Wifi access.
The grounds have been put to good use to give guests so much in the way of amenities - in good or bad weather!
Obviously the mandatory free car park - plus a decent sized indoor heated pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, solarium, games room, dedicated snooker room and sun terrace.
Add to these a pleasant bar with regular entertainment and enhance with what is probably the best breakfast on the Island, varied dinner menus and efficient but friendly service - 5 Star Food Hyfeine Certificate. Then quite simply you have found the right hotel - it's called the Wight!
New for 2008 - We also arrange Activity Holidays wich include GOLF,SCUBA (residential PADI courses if unqualified) and FLYING (pleasureflights,tuition or hire of our Cessna or Piper PA28).

Road Directions

From East Cowes ferry, second exit at roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.
From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown.
From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.

Public Transport Directions

From Ryde: please either visit the train station annexed to the Catamaran or travel on the No. 3 bus route
From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed ferry: No. 1 bus route to Newport and change to No. 8
From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 Newport and change to No. 8.
For further information please visit the Southern Vectis travel office at Ryde, bottom of pier or the Tourist Information Centre at West Cowes, opposite ferry terminal entrance and at Yarmouth, left of terminal.
