The Hermitage is located on the western edge of the Isle of Wight in an area outstanding natural beauty which with its many country footpaths and coastal walks is a favourite with nature lovers.
Situated on the cliff edge, immediately above Totland Bay, it is within easy walking distance of Totland beach. We are on the coastal walking path and guest scan enjoy the wonderful views of The Needles whilst walking on Headen Warren, again just minutes from The Hermitage.
The Hermitage has extensive grounds and enjoys lovely sea views and sunsets. Early morning and late evening badgers and foxes can be seen frequently the gardens and during the day red squirrels, pheasants and woodland birds are often seen. Guests are welcome to share these privileges and relax in the gardens.
The building dates back to 1877 and has always carried the Russian Coat of Arms as does its name sake in St Petersburg.
The Hermitage offers a selection of guest rooms including a 4 poster bed room, a double room, a twin room all with en-suite facilities and a Family Room with private bathroom. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities and TV. We offer guests to relax in our large lounge with access to the patio and gardens. We have our own private car park.
We are open all the year including Christmas and New Year. We offer special winter breaks between October and Easter, with evening meals available (by arrangement)
We offer transport to and from Yarmouth Ferry Port.
