From its early origins, the Priory Bay with its magnificent views across the Solent, has been built upon by Medieval monks, Tudor farmers and Georgian gentry. Its beautiful buildings have been sympathetically restored and stylishly redecorated to create a unique “Country House Hotel By The Sea”, where you can relax in peace and luxury from the moment you arrive.
The Priory Bay restaurants and menus are now under the guidance of Executive Chef, Alexis Gauthier, who also oversees the hotel’s Michelin starred London restaurant, Roussillon. Alexis, and Head Chef, Carlos Garcia, provide excellent cuisine using local ingredients, many from the hotel’s own gardens. The “Priory Oyster” specializes in seafood and provides less formal yet stylish dining overlooking the orchard, grounds, and woods to the sea. Winter menus include local game specially prepared by our Chefs. A warm welcome, log fires and cream teas make this a cozy winter retreat.
The 70 acre estate, between Bembridge and Seaview, has tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, 6 hole golf course, rolling lawns, mature woodlands, and the private beach of Priory Bay. Beach walks start on your doorstep.
The hotel has 9 double rooms, 7 premier rooms, 2 family suites. An additional 6 family suites are available just across the sunken courtyard where dogs are welcome.
