Kitty’s Loft, which received a Highly Commended Award in the Tourism South East ExSEllence Awards 2006, is part of a hamlet of seven privately owned converted barns and is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The original dwellings are believed to date back to Domesday times, 1086. Conversion of the farm buildings, to very high specifications, began in 1980.
Situated in a quiet country lane on the south of the island, two and a half miles from the sea as the crow flies, Kitty’s Loft nestles at the foot of St Catherine’s Down.
· It is fully self-contained with its own entrance.
· There is central heating in all rooms, which is included in the tariff, as is electricity.
· All bedding, duvets, linen and towels are also included.
GROUND FLOOR:
The kitchen, which has a Cornish tiled floor, is equipped with Shaker-style type units. There is a Larder fridge, freezer, microwave oven, full size cooker with ceramic hob and double oven, extractor fan and toaster, together with a good range of crockery, glasses, cutlery and table linen.
The Lounge, which has a feature stone wall, some beams and non-working fireplace, is comfortably furnished with a large 3 seater sofa, armchair, colour television and video. The large barn-style full-length window, which gives additional access to the garden, overlooks the surrounding countryside.
The Shower room is fully tiled with glass cubicle, hand basin and WC.
BEDROOM 1:
This large double aspect room with a double bed, is equipped with tasteful pine furnishings. A travel cot with baby duvet, sheet, and cellular blanket is available.
BEDROOM 2:
This twin bedded room is comfortably furnished with pine furniture.
OUTSIDE:
Small lawned area with garden furniture and barbeque.
Rotary clothes line - Note: a 24 hour laundry and drying service is also available.
Parking for one vehicle.
