GILLIES COTTAGE (EnjoyEngland 4 Stars):

Formerly a coach house belonging to Osborne House, Gillies Cottage is situated in East Cowes and backs onto Osborne House and it’s glorious gardens, you can enjoy the same atmosphere as Queen Victoria. The main town of Newport, with supermarkets, shops and multi-screen cinema is within ten minutes drive. The town of East Cowes is within walking distance with its shopping centre , heritage centre, marina, seafront promenade and paddling pool. Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s favourite seaside residence, is only a stones throw away. The Red Funnel car ferry terminal is also located in the town. West Cowes with its Red Jet passenger ferry terminal is also close by and can be accessed via the floating bridge, which is approx 20 mins walk away. East Cowes is ideally situated for the whole island, anywhere is 20-30 mins drive.

There is a beautiful large enclosed rear garden with garden furniture and parking for several cars to the front. All electricity, gas, linen and towels are included in the cost. Well behaved pets welcome.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A SPIRAL STAIRCASE THAT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR THE LESS MOBILE OR VERY YOUNG CHILDREN.

GILLIES CHALET (Awaiting Grading):

Gillies Chalet is a separate detached chalet situated in the grounds of Gillies Cottage and has it’s own part of the garden. It has a sleeping/lounge area, kitchenette and separate shower room. It can be booked at a reduced rate with the cottage.

The accommodation comprises:

KITCHEN: Combi microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, sofa, double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe.
BATHROOM: Shower cubicle, wash hand basin and separate WC.
Full Linen and towels provided.
Card meter.
Parking space.

From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 to Newport and change to No. 5 to East Cowes.
