The Duke of York has been run by the Cass family since 1969. This doesn't mean it hasn't changed during this time, on the contrary, the business is constantly being updated by the family team, well aware of the needs of both business personnel and families alike and offers a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The 12 en-suite rooms offer comfortable, well maintained accommodation with tea and coffee making facilities, colour television and probably the best breakfast in town, all at a realistic price.

The Duke has a well stocked bar with a good selection of draught beers, lagers and real ales, served by friendly accommodating staff.
The restaurant, which has a Maritime theme throughout, specialises in Fresh local Fish and Seafood, along with a choice of delicious home made dishes, all served with seasonal fresh vegetables. Booking is recommended, as this is a popular venue for crews and families all year round.
