The Bedford Lodge is privately owned and personally run by Karena and is situated in its own peaceful, south facing, private gardens, with sloping lawns, mature trees, flowering bushes and a sun terrace with views towards the downs - a truly magical spot.. Our English Breakfast is served in the restaurant, overlooking the gardens, between 8.30am - 10am with a choice of menu suitable for carnivores, vegetarians, healthy and unhealthy guests! 10% discount for mid & high season reservations of three or more nights are guaranteed before 31st January. We regret we are unsuitable for coach parties.

Access to hotel From council car park, kerb up onto my pathway, then a ramp up to the front door. 1 step into the front door, then over the hearth. After this, there are no changes in levels, between, the dining room, lounge, and bar area or Rooms 1 & 15 Room 1 - Ground Floor - Not wheelchair accessible Double Bed, Bath with shower over.(no adaptations) Overlooks garden with a french door Room 15 (Triple Room) - Ground Floor - is wheelchair accessible Double Bed, Bath with shower over. No adaptations currently in the bathroom. Plus an Additional single bed for a carer. Overlooks garden with a french door Private Hotel Car Park This is in an elevated position behind hotel and is not suitable for wheelchairs as there are 7 steps back down to hotel level

From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown, A3055 to Shanklin.
From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3020 to Shanklin.

From Ryde Catamaran/Hovertravel: please either visit the train station annexed to the Catamaran or travel on the No. 3 bus route
From West Cowes Red Jet Hi-speed ferry: No. 1 bus route to Newport and change to No. 2.
From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 to Newport and change to No. 2.
