This modern cottage is an enviable location on the unspoilt South West "Dinosaur" coast of the Island. It has panoramic views over the English Channel and is just 300m from the coastal path and a sandy beach in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". It is situated on the spectacular cliff-hugging Military Road.
The cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard, sleeping four plus a cot in two upstairs bedrooms. The main double bedroom has a small balcony, the second has twin beds and both have far reaching Channel views. Downstairs is a fully tiled bathroom with a power shower over the bath, and a lounge diner with leather sofas, a flat screen TV, DVD and CD players. The attractive, modern kitchen has a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. The lounge diner and kitchen have sea views. The property is double glazed and heated throughout by electric heaters ensuring it is warm and cosy for autumn and winter breaks. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included in the price.
Outside there is ample, private parking, a communal, grassed garden suitable for ball games, with rural downland views, and a private, fenced patio equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. There is also a secure brick store for cycles, surfboards etc.
The amenities of picturesque Brighstone village, which nestles beneath beautiful downland are a pleasant 1km walk inland. Brighstone has a grocer, newsagent, post office, two pubs, tea garden, National Trust Shop, free Village Museum and a beautiful Norman Church. The unspoilt West Wight countryside and seaside is perfect for families, walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, fossil hunters and extreme sports enthusiasts alike. Nearby Brook and Compton Bays are popular with surfers, windsurfers, kiteboarders and paragliders whilst also providing safe swimming, sand and rockpools for younger visitors.
