LOCATION: These converted barns are set within the grounds of Chessell Pottery, a small family owned working pottery at the foot of Brook Down on the west side of the Island (and also an AONB). The barns were formerly part of the old Chessell working horse farm.
LOCAL AREA: The West Wight countryside is beautifully unspoilt and the perfect base for walking, cycling and sight seeing. From Chessell you can easily access the Tennyson Trail over the downs to Freshwater Bay and the Needles, with popular Brook and Compton beaches just 1.5 miles away and the lovely old harbour town of Yarmouth just ten minutes by car.

LITTLE STABLES (AWARDED 4 STARS):
The Little Stables sleeps six and comprises two bedrooms on the first floor (one double, one twin) and one ground floor double with French doors leading onto a private courtyard. The upstairs bathroom has a shower over bath and there is an additional downstairs WC. The open plan living space is light and airy, has a lovely kitchen complete with washing machine and dish washer, plus a comfortable lounge seating area which opens out on to an attractive morning patio.
The property is supplied with beautiful Emma Bridgewater crockery, a basket of Egyptian cotton towels and a freshly baked Cream Tea for your arrival from our award winning Café on site.
Short breaks are available in low season.
OLD STABLES (AWARDED 4 STARS):
It is slightly bigger, sleeps seven and is similarly furnished but to a higher specification with additional features.
This larger barn conversion comprises three bedrooms on the first floor (one king, one twin and one single) and one additional double from a spiral staircase in a small separate wing of the property. The upstairs bathroom has a shower over bath, bundles of fluffy white towels, plus there is an additional downstairs WC with walk in power shower which is located near to the staircase which reaches the extra double room.
The open plan living space is spacious, light and airy, has a lovely fitted Italian style kitchen with doors each side to private courtyards which gives a sense of ‘letting the outdoors in’. The kitchen is well equipped with beautiful Emma Bridgewater polka dot crockery, new dish washer, washing machine and drier, large family size fridge freezer, plus a comfortable lounge seating area with leather sofa and chairs and beautiful wood burning stove. There is a separate TV/snug room with large leather sofa and a 42” plasma screen TV. To the front and rear of the property there are small enclosed courtyard gardens.
